CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – As of midday on Monday, over 4,700 Stark County residents had voted early at the Board of Elections office.

That’s trending much higher than the most recent Midterm Election in 2022.

No long lines are reported.

By the same token, it appears the number of registered voters applying for an absentee ballot will be down compared to four years ago.

Over 20,000 ballots had been mailed out as of Monday.

Both of those trends are being observed elsewhere in Ohio.

There’s a quick turnaround now for getting that absentee ballot from the Stark County Board of Elections.

At this point, the office is able to mail out a ballot the day after they receive the application.

Remember to take your valid photo ID when voting in person.

Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at your county Board of Elections office.
