(KRON) -- An investigation is underway after nearly 1,000 marijuana plants were seized from an illegal grow house, according to the Hercules Police Department.
Officials said in a social media post Tuesday that the discovery of the approximately 984 mature and immature marijuana plants was made during a search warrant at a local residence.
It is not clear what brought authorities to the residence in the first place. Police did not release details on how many arrests were made or potential charges.
Hercules police are using the incident to remind residents that illegal indoor grows can create fire hazards and electrical dangers.
